Team Profile
Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory services to senior management and the business units, maintaining the firm's liquidity, optimizing its capital base, and coordinate the Firm's recovery and resolution planning.

The Asia region consists of a hub in Hong Kong and regional offices in Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, and Mumbai.

You will
- Manage the Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities Co. Ltd (MSMS) Capital, Liquidity, Funding and Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) requirements with the MSMS Treasurer
- Work closely with the Treasury Legal Entity Management (LEM) teams primarily in New York and Hong Kong to optimize regulatory capital and liquidity adequacy in the region and partner with stakeholders in wider Finance, Risk, Firm Management and the Business Units (BUs) on the optimal resource mix and return metrics
- Assist in developing and maintaining Japan resolution strategy as part of the Firm's RRP, including Resolution Financing Models and legal documentations for Japan Material Operating and Service Entities
- Maintain applicable liquidity reserve requirements by investing in approved liquid assets and compliant with all policies and procedures
- Evaluate the impact of changes to regulatory requirements to the Firm's legal entities, including the assessment of incremental resource requirements and necessary changes in legal entity strategy
- Independently assess proposed changes to the Firm's booking models and analyze impact on liquidity, funding and capital requirements on the Firm, but also on a legal entity basis
- Help structure intercompany funding and capital instruments, as well as any other intercompany funding initiatives and processes
- Monitor and report on aspects of legal entities with regards to their Capital, Liquidity and Funding positions and in regards to regulatory requirements
- Assist the MSMS Treasurer in country coverage roles including meetings with the regulators and credit rating agencies
- Prepare and present Management Information reports for the Financial Committee (equivalent of the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO)) reporting and risk management monitoring purposes
- Participate in Treasury system implementation, enhancements and testing

Qualifications

- Good working knowledge of Corporate Treasury e.g., capital, asset liability management, liquidity and funding. Previous working experience from a global securities Firm or large Bank preferred
- A proactive nature with the determination to see tasks through from beginning to end
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Japanese for interaction with teams across both local offices and globally; Additional Asian languages a strong plus
- Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment
- Excellent project management skills, effectively meet and manage project deadlines
- JSDA Class 1 license
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in using Reuters and Bloomberg Analytics
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics, accounting, or commerce highly preferred
- CFA or equivalent is a plus
