Job Overview
Primary responsibilities require working with Principal Packaging Engineers and System Engineers to provide support/knowledge to resolve Packaging line losses and drive Capacity. Provide feasibility analysis through data and analytics by leveraging Engineering Skills and Reliability Tools. Drive Early Management process for Packaging Lines
Also, it requires the incumbent to possess functional knowledge in manufacturing/packaging plant engineering along with strong stakeholder relationship skills to virtually lead projects which assess, solve and improve Packaging System Reliability/Productivity to optimize manufacturing costs.
Hands on experience in Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Packaging Systems and Analytical Capabilities will be necessary skills to support this role. Knowledge of advanced excel and other reliability tools will be an added advantage for this position.

Job Responsibilities

75% of Time - Lead/Support and Execute Packaging Initiatives/Projects:

  • Work closely with Packaging Engineers and Packaging Principal Engineers to Drive loss elimination while improving Packaging System Reliability through demonstrated use of continuous improvement processes, problem solving, statistical analysis and support of productivity initiatives.
  • Leverage data and information systems to identify and drive decision making (performance metrics, financial information, data historian, maintenance management system)
  • Maintain & update standard set of input collection data sheet for different areas of application
  • Provide technical support in Capital projects (as needed)
  • Effective presentation skills of completed project at various platforms


  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understand and implement reliability concepts and tools to for step change performance
  • Learn and apply Weibull and other probability distribution concepts and their applications
  • Pull and analyze data from MQIS/CMMS to understand various breakdown issues and interpret them in line with the Gap Analysis.


20% of Time- Perform as a Subject Matter Expert & Development Areas
  • Ideate/Lead/Facilitate opportunities where there is scope of improvement.

Desired Profile

Education
Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Major Area of Study: - B. Tech /M. Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/ Packaging Science
Preferred Professional Certifications: Graduate/Diploma in Packaging Engineering

Experience
Minimum years of related experience required: 5-7 Years
Preferred years of related experience: 5-7 Years

  • Experience in operating and troubleshooting Packaging Equipment

Additional Information
  • This position reports to Engineering Management with the Supply Chain Division. Hours of operation are 11 AM to 8 PM Mumbai time (Monday to Friday) with the ability to flex hours as the job demands
  • In performing these accountabilities, the incumbent must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Organizations’ employees at all levels across the company locations
  • The Job involves travel to worldwide plants on short term basis depending on business requirements.
