Job Description

Supervise sewing line operations to ensure smooth workflow and production targets are met.

Monitor daily production and ensure timely execution of sewing tasks. Assign tasks to operators based on skill levels and production needs. Coordinate with the cutting, bonding, and quality teams for seamless production flow. Ensure garments meet quality standards by inspecting work at different stages. Identify defects and implement corrective actions. Provide guidance to operators on stitching techniques to enhance quality. Train and motivate sewing operators to improve skills and efficiency. Monitor attendance, work performance, and discipline among workers. Address any behavioural issues among team members. Optimize machine utilization and minimize downtime. Identify bottlenecks in the production line and propose solutions. Implement continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen. Ensure adherence to workplace safety and compliance regulations. Conduct regular safety checks and ensure a hazard-free work environment. Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field.

Should have 3+ years of experience in sewing line supervision in a garment manufacturing unit.

Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques. Ability to handle multiple sewing machines (e.g., lock stitch, overlock, flatlock). Excellent leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving skills to address production challenges. Basic knowledge of industrial engineering principles.
