The Platform Automation team's mission is to engineer and deliver self-service, performant and resilient service products for its internal customers (app-dev teams). Our platform products facilitate automation of server infrastructure by coordinating requirements from build teams and work across multiple teams .

The application developer / software engineer will analyze, design, develop and maintain server build application and automated provisioning workflows
client/server environment using Java-J2EE, GWT, JavaScript, Ansbile, Oracle and Clear Case/GIT.
Participation in an agile team is expected. Take lead in developing, discussing details with the developers in the team on projects and create roadmaps to meet project deliverables.

Candidate will work within a global team to develop and maintain automations that automate infrastructure platform products.

Responsibilities include:

Develop new automation tools using Java or similar programming language

Maintain and update existing automations of the platform engineering products

Provide support to users that are using existing automation tools

Understand the needs of automation and put forth options for solutions.

Committed to writing clean, testable and efficient code

Work directly with platform engineering team to gather requirements and solve problems by using automation

Qualifications / Skills:

Expert knowledge of the Java and JavaScript programming language

Experience building APIs

Implementation and development experience in UI frameworks Strong knowledge of industry best practices

Good understanding of design patterns and architecture

Strong communication and documentation skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to be open to discussion of potential options

Demonstrates solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle including development, testing and deployment of all application modules

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced development environment

Should have experience in debugging and resolving production issues by supporting Level 4 team

A minimum of 10 to 14 years of experience in Coding, Automation, Infrastructure as a Code, APIs

Coding - Python, Java, REST, ShellScripting, SQL,

SCM - GitHub, CICD - Harness, Jenkins

Work Schedule

Hybrid Working Model

Shift Timing - 2 to 11 PM IST

Location - Hyderabad or Bangalore only

Work From Office - 2 days per week
