Knowledge and Experience

: o Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. o 10+ years of experience in a steel manufacturing plant, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. o Strong knowledge of wire drawing, galvanizing, and steel coil production processes. o Expertise in production planning, process optimisation, and maintenance management. o Experience in managing teams, enforcing safety protocols, and handling logistics operations. o Proficiency in ERP systems, manufacturing analytics, and quality control tools. o Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. o Have a cost focus and productivity focused way of thinking o Capability to be pro-active in the resolution of operational and technical problems and disputes as they may arise from time to time (with customers and staff) o Have good experience in managing and enhancing quality Initiatives Authority/License: Production Tonage

Stakeholder Relationship: (list the working relationship and interaction with internal and external party) o External Stakeholders and Customers Production & Operations Management: o Oversee the entire wire drawing and galvanizing production process to ensure smooth and efficient operations. o Develop and implement production schedules, resource allocation, and process optimization strategies to meet customer demands and delivery timelines. o Ensure adherence to quality control standards and minimize production downtime through proactive measures. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, efficiency, and waste reduction. o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Planning & Process Optimization: o Develop and execute production planning strategies based on order forecasts and inventory levels. o Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to align production schedules with customer requirements. o Optimise machine utilisation and workforce productivity to maximize throughput. o Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies. Maintenance & Equipment Management: o Ensure the proper functioning, servicing, and preventive maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, including wire drawing and galvanizing machinery. o Develop a preventive and predictive maintenance plan to reduce equipment failures and unplanned downtimes. o Work closely with the maintenance team to manage spare parts inventory and critical repairs. o Drive automation and process improvements to enhance plant reliability and performance. Packing, Loading & Logistics: o Supervise packing and loading operations to ensure timely and damage-free shipments. o Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient packaging and handling of steel coils. o Work with logistics teams to optimize dispatch schedules and reduce turnaround times. o Ensure proper inventory management, storage, and tracking of finished goods. Health, Safety & Compliance: o Enforce occupational health and safety (OHS) protocols to create a safe working environment. o Ensure compliance with environmental and industrial safety regulations.
