Manager - Optometrist

. This role requires a

strategic thinker

with a deep understanding of the

optical and vision care industry

, supplier management, and emerging market trends. The ideal candidate will utilize data-driven insights, supplier negotiations, and innovative strategies to optimize category performance.

Key Responsibilities: Category Strategy Development:

Develop and implement category strategies for

optometry and vision care products

in alignment with business objectives. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the

optical industry

.

Supplier Management:

Build and maintain relationships with

optical product manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors

. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional activities to enhance category profitability.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with

sales, marketing, and supply chain teams

to execute category plans effectively. Align category strategies with overall business goals to improve customer satisfaction and sales.

Performance Monitoring:

Analyze category performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and profitability. Utilize data insights to refine strategies and address performance gaps.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on

optometry industry regulations

and ensure compliance with

vision care standards

. Implement best practices to maintain high-quality product standards.

Innovation & Trend Analysis:

Identify and capitalize on emerging trends in

eye care, optical products, and vision correction solutions

. Expand the optometry category by introducing

new and innovative products

Key Requirements: Experience:

7+ years in

category management

within the

optometry, eyewear, or vision care industry

.

Skills:

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills. Proficiency in developing and executing category strategies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the

optometry market, including eyewear, contact lenses, and vision care equipment

. Familiarity with

optometry industry regulations and compliance standards
