Work Location : Pune
State Street has established a JV- Delivery Management Function under global delivery, which is responsible for managing the process delivery by the JV’s including metrics driven management of day-to day operations, change management and continuous improvement. This role will manage the delivery across various processes for various segments in a manner that the end client experience is materially improved. While individual process and product delivery are designed by the global process and product owners, the day to day execution and change management determines the end client experience and hence this role is an important one from the end client experience perspective.
The purpose of the job is to :

  • Review and monitor the service delivery quality on an ongoing basis across process and product areas
  • Ensuring that the JV’s manage the staffing, training and deployment in a timely manner that service quality is resilient to spikes and contingencies.
  • Clearly develop metrics for BAU delivery quality
  • Understand operating models and dependencies upstream and downstream to each process and manage service quality.
  • Drive and manage transformation initiatives necessary to deliver service quality improvements planned from time to time.
  • Business As Usual (BAU) Activities:
  • Oversee the delivery of BAU activities and provide insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics
  • Build, develop performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables across the company at all levels
  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication of deliverables
  • Monitor process progress by tracking activity, escalating problems, publishing progress reports and dashboards, and recommend action
  • Proactively analyze and identify components of overall process performance and build logical, well structured project plans to track the progress
  • Run meetings to obtain updates on tasks and insuring quality updates are received from work stream owners
  • General responsibility for managing virtual teams at the JV’s delivering services on a BAU basis.
  • End-to-end responsibility for processes undertaken at the JV:
  • Oversee and manage the JV teams to achieve global consistency and effectiveness in controls; accurate, quality work; and transparency into activities and results. Maintain a robust control environment: process controls, process oversight and process governance responsibility
  • Develop the JV-teams to adopt “owner’s mind set”, work independently, and effectively manage timelines
  • Manage resources to assist with ad-hoc transformational projects
  • Measure progress toward goals; and evaluate productivity and team efficiency. Review and assess regularly with team members and with management
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on process areas where necessary
  • Coaches the team and gathers feedback for performance appraisals
  • Expectations
  • Graduation in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of experience in managing teams and analyzing performance of different businesses in an organization
  • Experience in managing projects & Run meetings to obtain updates on tasks and insuring quality updates are received from work stream owners
  • Identify, track and address issues/risks with meeting the delivery and provide status updates
  • Good proven experience in operational effectiveness, transformation and optimization is an advantage
  • Managing project economics including planning, defining deliverable content, ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management
  • Ability to analyze data sets and derive meaningful insights from the same
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details
  • Should possess strong written and verbal communications, should be flexible to work in US hours
  • Knowledge of Fund Management/ Asset Management business is an added advantage

  • Skills required:
  • Knowledge of operational systems in the areas of middle office and back office functions in State Street or its equivalent in other oganisations
  • Conceptual understanding of insuatry ecosystem and processes and their interconnectedness.
  • First level management expertise required
  • Independent decision-making capabilities, demonstrated thought leadership
  • Pride of ownership with the ability to deliver high quality results timely
  • Ability to inspire and manage teams including influencing without authority
