We are Hiring an IT Server and IT Assets Manager

Description:

As an IT Server and IT Assets Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the organization\'s IT server infrastructure and IT assets. You will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and security of servers, as well as managing the lifecycle of IT assets such as hardware, software, and network equipment. You will work closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the server environment and effective management of IT assets.

Responsibilities:

1. Server Management:

Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.

Monitor server performance and ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Implement and maintain server security measures, including access controls and data backups.

Troubleshoot server issues and perform root cause analysis.

Plan and execute server upgrades, migrations, and patch management.

2. IT Asset Management:

Develop and implement an IT asset management framework and processes.

Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.

Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware, software, and network equipment.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licenses and asset usage policies.

Optimize asset utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings.

3. Vendor Management:

Collaborate with vendors to procure IT assets and negotiate contracts.

Evaluate vendor proposals and select appropriate vendors for IT server and asset-related services.

Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Resolve issues and disputes with vendors in a timely manner.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to IT servers and assets.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain documentation related to server configurations, procedures, and asset inventory.

Generate reports on server performance, asset utilization, and compliance.

Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders.

5. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network administrators, system administrators, and security analysts, to ensure seamless integration of server and asset management processes.

Provide guidance and support to team members on server and asset management best practices.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.

Skills:

Proven experience in managing IT servers and assets in a complex environment.

Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, virtualization technologies, and server security.

Familiarity with IT asset management frameworks and best practices.

Proficiency in server management tools and technologies.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Vendor management experience is a plus.
