with over 4 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and specification of instrumentation systems for new projects and upgrades
Prepare datasheets, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and instrument index
Selection and sizing of instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, control valves, etc.
Perform instrument calibration, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams
Support commissioning and start-up activities
Prepare technical documentation and reports
Work with vendors and contractors during procurement and installation phases
Qualifications:
B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Instrument Engineer
Proficient in engineering tools such as SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), AutoCAD, and MS Office
Strong knowledge of control systems, PLC/DCS, and field instrumentation
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with industry standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in hazardous area instrumentation (ATEX, IECEx)
Familiarity with HAZOP, SIL, and functional safety assessments
Previous exposure to EPC projects or plant maintenance roles
