Here are the key areas of HR responsibility:

Human Resource Planning:

This involves forecasting workforce needs, analyzing talent gaps, and aligning HR strategies with the overall business objectives to ensure the organization has the right people in the right places at the right time.

Recruitment and Selection:

This function encompasses attracting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting the most qualified candidates to fill open positions. It also includes onboarding new hires, assisting with integration into the company culture, and conducting exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees.

Training and Development:

HR designs and implements training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, improve job performance, and support career growth. This includes identifying training needs, setting objectives, delivering training through various methods, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Performance Management:

HR develops and manages performance appraisal systems, sets clear performance expectations, provides continuous feedback, and addresses performance issues. They also recognize and reward high-performing employees to foster motivation and engagement.

Compensation and Benefits:

This involves designing and administering competitive salary structures, incentive programs, and benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, to attract and retain top talent, and keep employees motivated and satisfied.

Employee Relations:

HR fosters positive relationships between employees and management, resolves workplace conflicts and disputes, and creates a supportive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction.

HR Compliance and Legal Responsibilities:

This crucial responsibility involves ensuring the organization adheres to all applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies, including those related to wages, working conditions, safety, and non-discrimination. HR also keeps detailed records and handles administrative tasks related to personnel procedures and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
