Job Description


ROLE SUMMARY:
The Regional Demand Analyst (RDA) is a key player in developing high quality, unbiased demand forecasts and planning decisions for the markets in APAC.
The RDA is the owner and main accountable of the baseline forecast of all SKUs for assigned portfolio/market combination in alignment with commercial business strategies.
The RDA partners with Market Planners and supports demand review process and provides key data-driven inputs to Market Planners in support of the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process, supply assurance strategies, inventory planning and product change management.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and maintain SKU level demand baseline forecasts using adequate statistical models in accordance with the standard Demand Planning calendar (60 months rolling horizon and longer period for annual Long Range Volume Forecasting exercise).

  • Execute a collaborative process with the Market Planners in the cluster in all activities surrounding generation of both short-term and long-term demand forecast, ensure robust and ongoing Unit/Dollar forecast reconciliation to support Operational Plan and Latest Estimate updates and providing insight about significant demand changes.

  • Support Market Planners in the planning and execution of the monthly in-market S&OP process with the objective of improving forecasting and meeting financial targets.

  • Collaborate with Market Planners on NPL forecasting process, mainly by means of identifying potential impacts (cannibalisation or otherwise) to other existing products and owning demand forecasting of New Product Launches after a stable baseline has been identified, usually between 10 and 12 months following the launch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree preferably in business administration, operations management, finance, supply chain or logistics management or equivalent work experience.

  • APCIS certified will be an advantage.

  • Incumbent must be fluent in both written and verbal English, with a preferred second language of Hindi.

  • A minimum of 5 years' work experience. Understanding of pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.

  • Sound knowledge of principles and strategy for demand management and supply planning. Broad operation and systems experience including replenishment planning, capacity analysis, manufacturing and distribution in either a market or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in SAP ECC/APO-DP/SNP/IBP

  • Proficiency in MS Office products.

  • Proven ability to work in a complex matrix organization with issue resolution skills.

  • Good analytical, negotiating and interpersonal skills. Positive thinker, agile and motivates others.

  • Self-starter, ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic work environment. Is creative and has an innovative mind-set.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • No travel is required given COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Some after-hours call might be needed on ad-hoc basis to accommodate for other time zones (e.g. Europe, North America)
