Job Description

Chief Financial Officer - Mumbai

We are looking for an experienced Finance specialist to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This will also include financial risk management.

As Head, you will act as a Strategic Advisor and Business Partner to develop financial strategies, long term plans, provide strategic insights about the business, align functional goals and ensure seamless finance and decision support to the business.

1. Business Partnering & controlling

a. Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Active Participation in formulating long & short-term organizational strategy & business plans.

b. Internal Control: Setting up internal financial control mechanisms and ensuring adherence

c. A key member of core groups managing special projects including acquisitions, setting up of legal entities, systems/processes

d. Cost control & profit maximization

2. MIS, Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

a. Budgeting: Leading the process of annual budgeting activities.

b. Reporting: Reporting the key performance matrices for the leadership team.

c. Forecasting: Leading monthly, quarterly and rolling annual forecasting of business performances

3. Monthly Reviews

a. Active participation in monthly reviews with senior management, board members and various stakeholders

b. Driving discussions around financial KPIs with required analysis

4. Accounts, Audits & Tax

a. Accounts Closing: Ensuring monthly and quarterly book closures to meet global and statutory requirements.

b. Statutory, Tax, Transfer price & Internal audits: Liasoning with auditors and internal teams to ensure compliance within expected timelines

c. Direct Tax & GST: Ensuring compliance with Direct & Indirect taxes by reviews with internal teams

5. Working Capital Management

a. Monitoring Systems: Setting up reporting to regularly monitor investments in working capital in form of Inventory, Receivable and payables.

b. Credit Control: Implementing & ensuring compliance with credit policy by review of receivable ageing, DSO and overdue reports

c. Inventory: Ensuring to maintain an optimum level of inventory by review of Inventory days (DIO) to support business with minimum investments.

d. Creditors: Optimizing the credit available from suppliers by renegotiations.

e. Cash Discounts: Initiating cash discounts, framing discount policy and ensuring to obtain maximum benefits by leveraging cash discount benefits with the cost of capital.

6. Treasury & Cashflow management

a. Cashflow management: Review of fund positions with forecasting to ensure optimum liquidity.

b. Credit: Liasoning with banks for availing working capital and other short-term borrowing facilities. Ensuring submission of required information post disbursement.

c. Investments: Investing the surplus funds within approved investments opportunities

7. Governance / Compliances :

a. Statutory: Ensuring compliance with all other statutory requirements including RBI, NHB, and Company Law.

b. Internal financial & other SOPs and board guidelines: Ensuring Adherence to corporate/group financial policies and board requirements.

Requirement : CA working as Finance Controller or CFO in any Housing Finance company or NBFC, with fundraising experience.
