Job Description

Expert ability to interpret and advise on accessibility standards, principles, techniques, and best practices (including WCAG 2.2, Revised Sec 508, WAI-ARIA, ATAG ) Expert knowledge of how applicable WCAG 2.1 success criteria map to development requirements for Web, iOS, and Android applications. Good understanding of Web Content and Mobile Accessibility Standards and Laws Proficient in understanding and authoring test strategies and plans for WAI-ARIA Proficient in carrying out comprehensive Accessibility testing of Web and Mobile applications including keyboard navigation, screen readers and color contrast tools Applying accessibility knowledge to a wide range of products, including mobile applications, Web applications, and Simulations/Animations Knowledge of how people with a variety of disabilities use assistive technologies (e.g., screen reader, screen magnifier, keyboard-only access) and the ability to analyze the impact of a barrier to accessibility. Written and verbal communication skills - able to present status, facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, convincing, and organized manner Flexibility and adaptability - able to quickly and smoothly change direction based upon stakeholder or management direction, while remaining extremely organized and following tight deadlines Good knowledge around (HTML, CSS, Javascript) Communicate job-related challenges and opportunities with promptness and clarity Certified CPACC or DHS
